In 2003, Trax was awarded the first service related
"Strategic Alliance" contract with Colorado Springs Utilities.
Because of our commitment to excellence and competitive
pricing we continue to maintain our Alliance relationship
with CSU.
One of our project highlights as we "partnered" with CSU was
completion of the South Academy Boulevard Repairs (Airport Road
to Fountain Boulevard.) This was a high visibility,
heavy traffic project that required careful coordination with
Springs Utilities, the Colorado Springs Police Department,
material deliveries, equipment staging and the Trax Traffic
Control team. We completed the project on time and within budget.
In 2007, Trax worked with CH2M Hill to place an asphalt lining
in a new wastewater retention pond as part of the Fountain Creek
Recovery Project. Due to steep slopes of the pond and a
ninety five percent (95%) compaction requirement, we engineered
a compaction solution by mounting a 4'x8'x1" steel plate on a track
hoe vibrator. Our solution resulted in exceeding the ninety five
percent (95%) compaction and was instrumental in completing the
project ahead of schedule. We are proud to have contributed to
CH2M Hill receiving an Excellence in Safety Award for this project.
"Trax played an important part in delivering the project on time,
within budget and in a safe manner."
