Unique challenges of the project required that all three entities work together to develop creative procedures and proactive solutions in order to complete the project and thereby ensure clean water safety for Fountain Creek. Trax and CH2M Hill made several unsuccessful attempts to get the specification required compaction of ninety five percent (95%) on the sloped sides of the pond. Trax engineered the compaction solution by mounting a 4'x8'x1" steel plate on a trackhoe vibrator. The Trax solution resulted in exceeding the ninety five percent (95%) specification which was instrumental in completing the project ahead of expectations. CH2M Hill General Superintendent, Kerry Inman stated, "CH2M Hill had a higher safety standard than even OSHA requires. The Trax crew followed our requirements for safety and overall project procedures to the letter. Trax played an important part in delivering the project on time, within budget, and in a safe manner.
